Description

The outbuildings at Torwood Cottage date from around 1829 and are located to the northeast of Torwood House. They are constructed of rubble with dressed red sandstone dressings and quoins, topped with slated roofs. The main structure is a long range oriented east to west, featuring a pitched slated roof and a stone ridge. There is also a detached range oriented north to south, which is currently roofless. The wall of this range has collapsed, but the east wall and the north and south gables remain standing to wallhead height.
