Description
This is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of coursed red rubble stone to the front, with harled gables. It is a two-storey, three-window composition. A later rear wing has been added. The windows are four-pane sashes. The roof is slate, with decorative moulded skew ends and coped end stacks. Outbuildings are constructed of random rubble with stone-slated roofs, and the eaves of the implement shed are supported by timber posts. The farmhouse is part of a group including items 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. It is located at Mains of Balbegno, and includes a screen wall and outbuildings to the southwest.
