Description

56 Crovie is a cottage from the early to mid-19th century. It is a single-storey building with three bays and a continuous narrow two-bay addition at the south gable, which was originally a store. The exterior features heavily pointed rubble with rendered reveals. The main entrance is centrally located, with an additional entrance and a small window in the addition, both having four-pane glazing. The cottage sits on boulder footings and has end stacks, with brick used for the extension to replace the former 'hanging lum'. The main cottage has a corrugated asbestos roof, while the extension has a corrugated-iron roof.
