Description
The Grain Mill at Nethermill dates back to 1820, although the section at the tower level with the wheel appears to be older. The mill features a stepped slope, with the 1820 construction tusked at the junction for the lower part to be raised later. It is built from rubble and includes a central kiln. The workings of the mill are still fairly complete, including a double-framed start-and-awe wheel.
