Description
Auchiries School, built by J. & W. Smith in 1847-1848, is a single-storey schoolhouse with a dormerless attic. It is constructed of coursed red rubble with grey dressings and margins. The building features a two-window front and a central porch, which has an arched doorpiece with a keystone and consoles. There is also a single-storey wing at the back that houses the school room.
