Duff House Gardens, Duff House

Duff House Gardens, associated with Duff House, likely dates from the later 18th century. It features a surviving section of the south-facing wall, which includes a lean-to bothy, a vinery, and an angle tower, along with a short return length of walling to the south. The structure is built of rubble, with the south face lined in brick.

The angle turret, also probably from the later 18th century, is a square, two-stage structure topped with a crenellated wallhead.

The bothy, dating from the 19th century, has a single-pitch design and includes a former boiler house that was used to heat the vinery, along with wallhead chimney stacks.

The vinery, possibly from the early 19th century, is a glazed single-pitch greenhouse featuring late 19th-century cast-iron brattishing.
