Description

The Limekiln at Mains Of Midstrath is an early 19th-century structure facing north. It features a single three-draw limekiln that is partially collapsed. The main construction is made of dry granite rubble, with finely finished long and short dressings. There are three round-arched fireholes, with the central one located in an advanced battered bay, which has been blocked up. The kiln is flanked by curved wing walls.
