Description

The churchyard of Echt Parish Church features a partly rebuilt and extended dyke. While there are no notable old monuments, it includes a War Memorial made of bronze, created by Wm. Macmillan in 1921. The base of the memorial is in poor condition and has rockfaced dressings by David Morris of the Estate Office. Additionally, there is a monument to Viscount Cowdray, dated 1927, designed by Dr. William Kelly. This monument is styled as a Greek sarcophagus on a high base, featuring a block pediment with volutes and obelisks topped by lions.
