Description
Echt Parish Church was built in 1804 by William and Andrew Clerk and features a Gothick style. The church has a rectangular shape with four windows and is harled with margins. It retains its original glazing and has a fluted centre pilaster along with a high piend roof. The west front has three bays, with the centre bay being advanced and featuring an elliptical window, a curved gablet, and a bellcote. There is a later addition of a session house.
Inside, the church has an original gallery supported by Doric columns, which display coats of arms. There is a laird's pew with a balustraded top, and the interior also includes a St. Machar-type ceiling, a pulpit, a lectern, and a communion table designed by Dr. William Kelly in 1930. The church houses a Stainbank bell from 1868.
