Description

Circa 1784, former manse with additions 1839, now forming an asymmetrical grouping. Originally 2-storey and attic, 3-bay

house possibly raised when 2-storey drawing room wing

projected from 2 west bays in 1839, lean-to porch in the

re-entrant angle. Wing added to rear of 18th century house with

2-storey canted window probably 1839. Granite-built, ashlar

to 1784 main elevation, squared rubble partly pinned

elsewhere, long and short dressings. Sash and case windows

mainly 12-pane glazing pattern; 1 blocked attic window in

18th century E gable. Slate roof, 2 later 19th century

piended dormers, coped stacks. Coped rubble garden wall with

cast-iron pedestrian gate.
