Description

5 George Street in Banff is a tall two-storey house with an attic, dating from the early 19th century and likely incorporating an earlier structure. It has a regular front facing George Street and a return gable to Braehead. The exterior is dry-dashed with painted tooled ashlar margins. The entrance is centrally located, and there are late 19th century canted wallhead dormers in the outer bays. The return gable to Braehead features regular fenestration with two ground floor and two first floor windows, all with 4-pane timber sash and case glazing. The house has coped end and rear wallhead stacks and a slate roof.
