Dated 1834, 22 and 23 Main Street is a two-story, three-bay house, likely with the ground floor originally used for business purposes, and built on a terrace. The house is constructed of Aberdeen bond masonry. The ground floor features two central panelled, double-leaf doors and two windows to the sides. It has twelve-pane sash and case windows. The roof is covered with graded slate, and a small attic window is set into the west gable.
