Description
The Cottage at Muchalls Castle is a single-storey T-plan cottage built in the late 19th century. It features roughcast walls with sandstone dressings and crowsteps, and the quoins are cement over sandstone.
On the north elevation, there is a doorway located in the re-entrant angle, along with a segmental-arched single window in the advanced wing to the outer right. The west elevation has three single windows. The east elevation includes an advanced gabled wing to the outer left, which has two single windows. The south elevation features a single window to the outer right and two segmental-arched windows in the advanced wing to the outer left. The windows are 4-pane sash and case style. The roof is made of grey slate and includes coped gablehead stacks, yellow fireclay ridging, crowstepped gables, and beaked skewputts.
The interior was not seen in 1994.
