Description
13 and 15 High Street in Laurencekirk is an earlier 19th century building that features two stories and an attic, arranged in a three-bay layout, serving as both a shop and a tenement. The exterior is constructed with stugged coursers and topped with a slate roof. It has two ashlar-coped skews with skew blocks and a corniced ashlar ridge stack. A band course runs along the first floor and eaves. The first-floor windows have modern frames that are not in keeping with the building's character, while the dormers are canted with two panes and piended roofs, also featuring modern frames that do not match the original style.
The front elevation includes a pilastered three-bay shopfront with a door to the right that has an astragalled fanlight above it. There are three windows on the first floor and two dormers above. The interior has not been seen.
