Description
This is a mid-19th century range of buildings located at Sandend, originally three cottages linked to number 1B. The structure is constructed of heavily pointed rubble with contrasting painted dressings. The south-facing elevation, which forms number 1D, is irregular and four bays wide. The east-facing elevation, forming the main front of number 1C, is irregular and three bays wide. Three later 19th-century canted dormers are present on the south front, while two are situated on the east front of number 1C. The building features coped end and ridge stacks and slate roofs.
Adjoining number 1C is a vertical, weatherboarded fish smoking kiln with a ridge louvre.
