Description
This is a mid-19th century range of buildings initially comprising three cottages, linked to number 1B. The buildings are constructed of heavily pointed rubble stone with contrasting painted long and short dressings. The south elevation is irregular, four bays wide, and forms the southern face of number 1D. The east-facing elevation, irregular in three bays, forms the main front of number 1C. Three later 19th century canted dormers are present on the south front, while two are situated on the east elevation of number 1C. The roof is slate-covered, with coped end and ridge stacks. Adjoining number 1C is a vertical, weatherboarded fish smoking kiln, incorporating a ridge louvre.
