Description

The gate piers at Monymusk House were designed by Alexander Jaffrey around 1719-1720. The central piers, flank walls, and terminal piers date from the 19th century. The piers are set diagonally and feature banded rustication along with tall urn finials. The gates are modern, but there are traces of hinges from two previous sets of gates. The low flank walls end in low diagonal piers that have astragal necking.
