Description
5 Clunie Street in Banff is an early 19th century house that stands two stories tall with an attic and features three bays, along with a lower, set-back wide single bay wing on the east side. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The house has a corniced and pilastered central entrance, with regular window arrangements. The outer bays include late 19th century canted wallhead dormers.
On the ground floor of the east addition, there is a shallow segmental-headed garage entrance, with a tripartite window off-centre on the first floor. At the rear, there is a later 19th century two-storey wing that has canted windows on the ground floor. The windows are made of plate glass timber sash and case glazing, and the house has coped end stacks and a slate roof.
