Description

This dovecot, located on Kinbog Farm near Philorth, dates to around 1800. It is an octagonal structure composed of coursed rubble stone with granite dressings at the corners. The dovecot is two-stage in design, topped with a parapet that sits on a graduated corbel course. A simple, square-headed doorway is present, decorated with a circular panel above the lintel. The interior is constructed of brick. Due to vegetation cover, a detailed inspection has not been possible.
