Description
St Medan's Church and Philorth Churchyard represent a 16th and 17th century churchyard enclosed by a wall. The wall incorporates a roll-moulded gate, which is partly coped and features an arched opening with roll moulding. The churchyard contains a good collection of stones dating from the 17th century onwards, alongside a brick arched vault. The church at Kirkton was abandoned in 1574. A modern mausoleum, resembling that located at Fraserburgh Parish Church, stands outside the churchyard wall. The statutory address is Philorth Churchyard within Fraserburgh Cemetery.
