Description
5 Sandyhill Road in Banff is a pair of cottages built in the later 18th century. The cottages are two stories tall and have five bays. They feature a harled rubble front with painted margins or reveals, creating an irregular appearance with an alternating pattern of windows and doors. The ground floor has smaller windows, while the first floor has three longer windows, all fitted with 12-pane timber sash and case glazing.
At the rear, there is a short projecting wing that serves No 5. The cottages have skewed gables, with end harled rubble stacks and a brick ridge stack. The roof is covered with slate and has a stone ridge.
Surrounding the property, high rubble walls enclose the rear garden.
