2-storey ashlar Tudor gothic with archway to quadrangle.

South and East sides of quadrangle and Library; Robert

Matheson 1860-1862, 1870-3, additions W.W. Robertson 1881

again 1894 and 1914 A. Marshall Mackenzie; bookstack Alex.

Cruickshank 1943. Ivy Tower: 17th century. 4-storey circular

rubble built partly enclosed in Mathieson buildings. Cromwell

Tower: Begun 1657. Reconstructed John Smith 1825-6. 4-5

storey (reconstructed from 6, ceilings raised) rectangular,

battlemented top.
