Description
Ruthrieston Pack Bridge, dated 1693, was moved 35 yards east in 1923. It is a three-span, hump-backed bridge with round arches that crosses a tributary to the River Dee. The bridge is constructed from coursed lightly tooled granite, featuring granite arch-rings and a cobbled road. It has splayed wing walls and a parapet that steps up to the center, which was added in 1923. On the east side, there are cutwaters topped with two tooled coats of arms. A panel on the west side reads, "ERECTED IN 1693 35 YARDS WEST OF THIS SITE - RE-ERECTED HERE IN 1923," while the inside of the east parapet features a panel with a Latin inscription.
