Description
The Bridge of Potarch, designed by Thomas Telford and built between 1811 and 1813, is a three-span segmental-arched bridge that crosses the River Dee. It is constructed from tooled, coursed granite, featuring finely finished arch rings and piers. The bridge has triangular cut-waters that extend upwards, creating four half-hexagonal refuges on each parapet. It also includes a coped parapet and sharply splayed wing walls.
