Description

The Submarine Mining Station at Carlingnose, North Queensferry, dates from around 1898 to 1900. It features the remains of a submarine mining pier, including remnants of a concrete substructure along the coast. The substantial remains of the platform pier are cut off from the land and supported by cast-iron supports and wrought-iron cross-bracing. There are also metal railings along the top of the pier.
