55 Shore Road is a single-storey, two-bay house within a terrace of former fishermen’s houses on the west side of Shore Road, Annalong, Newry, County Down. The building is notable as the least altered of those remaining along the street.

The house has a gabled slate roof with a central chimney rendered in cement, and walls also rendered in cement. A small gabled porch is located at the south end of the east-facing (street) elevation, featuring side access through a vertical tongue-and-groove boarded door. The windows are currently boarded up. Across the street is a small walled garden with access to the beach.

The building appears on Ordnance Survey maps from 1900 but not on the 1859 edition, suggesting a date of construction between 1860 and 1879. Terraces further along the street towards the village are shown on a map from 1834. The building is of vernacular character.
