Description
Ash Grove Lodge was a single-storey lodge, likely constructed between 1900 and 1919, located on Ashgrove Avenue, Newry, County Down, within the townland of Drumcashellone. It first appeared on a map from 1902, marked as a lodge. The building was demolished in the 1980s or 1990s. When surveyed in 1970, it was described as having harled and whitened walls and a hipped, slated roof, with a central brick chimney. It featured two double-hung windows with cross glazing bars, flanking a four-panel door. The door was protected by a timber porch with a felt roof. The lodge was noted to be in poor condition at the time of the 1970 survey. Its former use was as a gates/screens/lodge.
