Description

Site, on a sight rise to the E of the Belfast Road, c.2.5 miles NW of Downpatrick, of a two storey farmhouse of probable pre 1834 construction, demolished in 1990 with new dwelling house now on site. The original building was described in the first survey of August 1978 as ‘Traditional farm dwelling. Slated gabled roof, raised verges, yellow brick chimneys. Smooth rendered lined, stepped quoins, plinth. Drop hung sashes [on] first floor and ground floor. Door, ground floor, panelled with plain fanlight. Label mouldings over all openings’.
