Description

Small, single storey, canted summer house of perhaps c.1802, now overgrown and roofless. The building is built against the south wall of the Finnebrogue estate walled garden, roughly a third of a mile NE of Finnebrogue House, two miles N of Downpatrick. The building has a canted (five-sided) plan. To each of the three ‘front’ (SW facing) faces there is a large semicircular-headed opening (the central of which must have been the doorway). The façade is rendered, (over brick), but is now largely covered in plant growth. The roof has completely fallen away.
