This small, picturesque-style gate lodge is attractively located on the roadside opposite the gates to Streamville House. It dates to between 1840 and 1859, and appears on an Ordnance Survey map of 1833, being explicitly identified as a gate lodge by 1860. It originally served Streamville House.

The lodge is a single storey, two-bay building. It has a half-hipped roof covered in natural slate, with a chimney stack in the centre obscured by ivy. Deep, overhanging gables feature decorative bargeboards to the left end and plain ones to the right, with projecting eaves to the front and rear. There are no rainwater goods. The walls are painted lime render over rubble stone. The main elevation faces south towards the road, and each bay contains a pair of small 1/1 sash windows with horns, set within a single opening and featuring a labelled granite drip mould and granite cill. The entrance is in the centre of the left gable, consisting of a wide, sheeted timber door with a labelled drip mould above. The rear elevation has a single 1/1 sash window to the left bay and a pair of steel casements to the right bay. The ground level is almost level with the window cills at the rear, and the right gable is blank.

According to Dean’s "The Gate Lodges of Ulster," the building is in a "Tudor Picturesque" style, and the front windows were originally lattice paned, with chimney stacks of diagonally set brickwork. The building is currently derelict.
