Description
Single storey / three bay vernacular house set into hillside and accessed from a long lane on SW side of Gransha Road. Pitched natural slate roof with three coped red brick chimneys (render gone) - one to each gable and one between left and central bays. Brick eaves course carries half round metal rainwater goods. Walls are of dashed random rubble (render gone in places). Principal elevation faces E. Central bay has a shallow windbreak porch at right. It has a monopitched natural slate roof which cat slides from main roof. Walls of concrete blocks. Its front has an unpainted t+g sheeted door, accessed up two concrete steps. Window set to left of porch. Left and right bays each have two windows. All are 2/2 exposed box sliding sash windows (vertically divided) with horns and concrete cills. Left gable is blank and abutted by a lower and narrower single storey (two-staged) outbuilding. It is in rubble stone and the first stage has a pitched corrugated metal roof while the second has a higher pitched natural slate roof; neither is of interest. Rear elevation has a small window to each bay, as all the others. Right gable is blank with large foundation boulders running along its base, now exposed due to erosion of the ground around. To front of building is a small yard, now overgrown. To rear is mature garden with trees. Opposite house is a single storey/ single bay rubble stone outbuilding of no interest.
