53 Tannaghmore Road, Tannaghmore (near Seaforde), Ballynahinch, Co Down, BT24 8NT

This is a small, single-storey vernacular dwelling of possible mid-19th century construction, located approximately 2.5 miles northwest of Seaforde, near Ballynahinch. The property sits to the north side of a long lane, west of the Tannaghmore Road.

The building has an asymmetrical front façade which faces south. A timber-sheeted door is positioned to the right of centre, with a window to the left and another to the right, both featuring modern four-pane frames. The gables are blank. A small lean-to extension in corrugated iron projects from the rear, flanked on either side by small windows with sash frames. A further lean-to portion of a single-storey outbuilding abuts the left side of the rear façade. The façade is finished in rough cast and painted, and the gabled roof is covered in corrugated iron with rendered parapets. The windows appear to have PVC frames.

A building is depicted on an Ordnance Survey map of 1834 at this location, though it was not documented in the 1836 valuation records. The property was reportedly occupied during a survey in November 1980, but appears vacant now. To the west of the house, across the lane, are the overgrown ruins of another single-storey dwelling.
