Old house at 15 Ballyvernstown Road, Larne, Co Antrim, BT40 3LA

The house at 15 Ballyvernstown Road, Larne, Co Antrim, was built between 1820 and 1839 and appeared on the Ordnance Survey map of 1832. It was a two-storey building which incorporated both dwelling and outbuildings, with a further extension also containing outbuildings. The walls were harled and painted white, and the roof was slated. The main entrance was within a gabled porch and flanked by double-hung windows with sashes divided into two panes by a horizontal glazing bar. Upper-floor windows were also double-hung with sashes divided into three panes by vertical glazing bars. A sheeted door was topped by a five-pane fanlight. The house has been demolished, and only the outbuildings remain, which are of no architectural interest. The building's architectural character was compromised by the addition of the porch and alterations to the ground floor windows.
