Description
This is an early nineteenth-century, two-bay, single-storey galletted rubble stone gate lodge. It was historically part of Broommount Estate, but is now separated from its original setting and situated within the garden of a modern house. The lodge is partially derelict, with all openings infilled with concrete block, significantly diminishing its original interest. Simple squared rubble stone gate piers, also with galletting, remain directly to the north. It was surveyed during the First Survey but was not listed. A partial record was taken during the Second Survey, as the building was considered unsuitable for a full survey.
