Description
This is a standing stone located at a field boundary in the Drumcovit townland, near Feeny, County Londonderry. The stone dates from before 1600 and stands approximately 1.4 metres high with a base measuring 0.7 metres, giving it a shape resembling an overgrown bishop’s mitre. It is situated between two trees, creating a prominent visual feature in the landscape. The stone is indicated on Ordnance Survey maps from 1830, revised in 1905, and is located one field north of Tandragee Fort. It is also documented in the Historic Monuments and Sites of Banagher. The standing stone is considered a monument.
