Tandragee Fort, Glenedra Road, Drumcovit, Feeny, Co Londonderry

Tandragee Fort is a circular rath, likely dating from before 1600, situated on a low ridge overlooking Fincarn Glen and opposite St Joseph’s R.C. Church. This rath, which may have served as a farmstead or fort in prehistoric and post-historical times, is enclosed by a bank of earth and stones varying in width. Small trees, including hawthorn and blackthorn, grow on the bank, enhancing the sense of enclosure. A break or entrance is visible on the southern side. The site is one of several raths in the area and is readily discernible. Documented in historical records from 1830 and 1833-4, it is considered to be a monument.
