Sandyrow, 8,9,10 Lurgan Road, Ballymacanallen, Banbridge, Co Down, BT63 6AP

Sandyrow, formerly located at 8, 9, and 10 Lurgan Road, Ballymacanallen, Banbridge, comprised a group of two-storey and single-storey terraced houses. The construction was of squared coursed rubble with brick dressings to the openings. The buildings have since been demolished and replaced with modern housing.

The First Survey card described the original group as a terrace of two houses and a shop. The two-storey section had a slated roof and a right-hand gable. Brick chimneys were present. A single-storey building extended from the right-hand side, also slated. The walls were constructed of blackstone rubble with brick dressings to the windows and doors. Number 10 had a front elevation (front floor) featuring a single-light, two-light, and single-light window arrangement, while the ground floor contained Georgian-paned windows, a central doorway with a sheeted door and three-pane fanlight. The long single-storey building extended to the right; it had a brick chimney, blackstone rubble walls, and brick dressings to the openings. Its front facade originally featured a window, sheeted door, window, window, sheeted door, and a shop window lacking astrays (with a visible cigarette sign). The windows were deemed to be double-hung and contained Georgian panes. The condition was noted as “poorish,” with a frontage extending approximately 85 feet. The structure was suggested to be of mid-19th century origin, with more recent alterations. A visit on 12 April 1976 documented these features.
