The bridge has a basic design, featuring an arch approximately 1 meter wide formed from rough rubble voussoirs, set within a rubble-faced base wall. The arch rises slightly above ground level, giving the bridge a gentle hump-backed shape. There is no balustrade, and the stonework is surrounded by vegetation. Its simple, rustic style contrasts with the more elaborate, formal bridges designed by Charles Lanyon elsewhere in Ballywalter Park.
