Description
Large-ish two storey gabled farm house of c.1880s, set on a hill top to the to the W of the Tullynagee Road, c.2.5 miles S of Comber. Front (E) façade has a central panelled door with two pane sidelights (with panelled aprons) and elliptical arch fanlight broken up into five panes. The doorway is encased with panelled pilasters and archivolt with moulded keystone. Three steps to doorway. To the left and to the right of the doorway is a sash window with horizontal glazing bars. To the first floor are three similar windows but with segmental arch heads to openings. The S gable has a window to the left on the first floor with modern frame. The N gable has a window to the right on the ground floor and one on the first floor, both corresponding to the windows to the front. To the right on the ground floor of the main rear façade is a window as ground floor front. To the right of this is a two storey gabled return with modern windows of various sizes to the S and rear (gable). Attached to the N side of the return (and to the main rear façade) is a large, two storey flat-roofed extension with large modern windows to the N and a doorway to the rear. The entire façade is finished in rough cast to the rear and S gable with a ‘rough’ render with lines to the front and N gable. The front and N gable also have chamfered quoins. Chamfered base to front N and S. The roof (bar the extension) is covered in Bangor blue slates and has a slight overhang to the main house with decorative barge boards to the N. There are two yellow brick chimney stacks to the main roof and a much taller yellow brick chimney to the return. Yellow clay parapet to return. Two small cast iron skylights to S side of return roof. PVC and cast iron rainwater goods. Outbuildings to W and S.
