Site, on a slight rise to the S of the Moss Road (c.2 miles SE of Ballygowan), of a former single storey thatched vernacular dwelling, now demolished with modern house in place. The original house was described in the original survey (22nd Feb. 1974) as a ‘Single storey cottage. Roof thatched, gable ends. Chimneys rendered and brick. Wall rendered and whitewashed. NE front has 4 drop hung windows [with] horizontal astragals. Glazed and panelled door between windows 3 and 4. Condition fair. Front about 55ft.’. The house was demolished c.1977 and a new dwelling built in place.
