The site represents the former location of a single-storey house, likely dating to before 1834. The house was demolished sometime after 1974. Located to the west of Ballydorn Road, approximately one mile northeast of Killinchy, the site is now occupied by the foundations of an unfinished dwelling.

The original house, as depicted on Ordnance Survey maps from 1834 and 1859-60, was described as a long, single-storey cottage with a thatched roof and rendered chimneys. The walls were roughcast and painted cream. The southeast front featured a sheeted double door, a double-hung window with horizontal astragals (one pane being non-functional), and a recent timber-glazed porch with a flat roof, along with another double-hung window featuring horizontal astragals. A rear extension included asbestos walls and roofing. The building was noted to be in poor condition, with the back thatch incomplete. It measured approximately 65 feet in length.

Valuation records from around 1835 indicate that the house was then occupied by a William McKeown, with associated buildings including a carhouse, barn, and potato house, collectively valued at £7-1-0 along with some surrounding land. By approximately 1861, the dwelling, outbuildings, and land had been leased to an Alexander Hamilton by James Ferguson, with the buildings valued at £1-5-0 and the land at £12.
