This is a two-storey, three-bay, gabled house, likely dating from between 1840 and 1859, situated at 97 Main Street, Randalstown. A building is shown on an Ordnance Survey map from 1829, though it may represent a rebuilding or enlargement of an earlier structure. The house has undergone significant, inappropriate alterations, resulting in limited architectural or historic interest.

The main entrance, facing south, is symmetrical with a central doorway set within a wide, rectangular opening. A modern panelled door is present with modern sidelights, replacing the original sheeted door topped with a margined-paned rectangular fanlight described in a 1971 survey. The roof is covered in synthetic slates, and the walls are rendered with a dry dash of limestone chippings over a smooth rendered plinth. There are rendered chimneys on each gable. The windows are mainly large rectangular timber fixed lights with top-hung vents and thin projecting concrete sills. PVC rainwater goods are visible. The end gables are blank and renderered in the same style as the front elevation. The rear return is of similar character.

The building stands detached from an adjacent terrace within the built-up area of Randalstown, facing directly onto the pavement at one end of the main street. It lies within a conservation area.
