Description
56 Christchurch Street East is a late 18th-century building constructed from rendered rubble that is grooved to resemble ashlar. It features a modern plain-tile roof with a central gabled dormer and stone chimneys at either end. The building stands 2½ storeys tall and has three windows, which include glazing bar sashes with moulded architraves that have keystones, except for the pointed arch openings in the centre of the first floor, which contain a modern casement window. On the ground floor to the right is a modern plate glass sash window. The central entrance is a panelled door located beneath a moulded stone slab hood supported by brackets. There is a raised pavement in front of the building.
