Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage, now a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble and features a double roman tile roof with decorative pierced ridge tiles and coped verges. There are two ashlar stacks with plain caps. The building is designed in a Tudoresque style with a U-shaped plan and has two storeys with a one-to-four bay arrangement. The windows are two-light moulded stone mullioned windows with stopped labels, with the ground floor windows being slightly taller than those on the first floor. Each light contains a small sash window with glazing bars. To the right, there is a gabled porch with coping and a cruciform finial, topped with a stone slate roof. The porch features a door opening with a four-centred head and a label above, leading to double plank doors. Inside, there is a six-panelled inner door with the top four lights glazed. The building has two wings at the rear, designed in a similar style, and the main facade faces the garden.
