Description

Rock House is a house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with a roof covered in Bridgwater Patent tiles, and has brick end stacks. The architectural style is Picturesque. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are paired 4-pane casements, each set within a semi-circular stone surround with impost mouldings, bracketed sills, and a single opening. The central door opening has a similar semi-circular surround with an emphasised keystone, with a 6-panelled door (top three panels having semi-circular heads) and a fanlight with glazing bars. Above the door is a metal ogee canopy hood supported by slender lattice framed supports and topped with a wrought iron finial. The house is approached by a pair of quarry-faced ashlar gate piers, which have moulded caps and ball finials.
