Description
The Poplars is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a double roman tile roof with brick end stacks and three pent roofed dormers. The building has a symmetrical facade, with two storeys and an attic, comprising five bays. The windows are three-light moulded stone mullioned, except for the two-light windows flanking the central window on the first floor. There is a continuous weathered string course above the heads of the ground floor openings. The central door opening contains a recessed 20th-century studded plank door with strap hinges, with a small casement window on each side. The property is enclosed by a rubble forecourt wall with plain dressed coping and a 20th-century wrought iron gate.
