Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about 10 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary in Woolavington. It is made of freestone and blue lias. The plinth is buried, and the tomb features an oblong shape with a bellied section at each end. The inscription panels made of lias are decayed and set within emphasized moulded surrounds. The top of the tomb has a cambered slab that is elaborately moulded around the lower edge.
