Description

This listing describes a pair of gate piers and a mounting block located 5 metres west of the facade of Bowlish House. They date from the 18th century. The square gate piers are 2 metres high and made of Doulting limestone ashlar, featuring "V" jointed rustication. Each pier has a moulded cap that supports a decorated urn. The mounting block is constructed of rubble and has two steps on each side leading up to the top stage.
