Description

Dillington Park Lodge is a semi-detached house, largely of the 18th century with possible origins in the 17th century or earlier. The exterior is built of ham stone with squared details, ashlar dressings, and a thatched roof, hipped at both ends. It has ashlar chimney stacks with an octagonal plan and moulded caps, arranged in pairs. The house is arranged in an 'L' shape and has two storeys. The east elevation has five bays, with a projecting two-story porch in the centre. Most windows are two-light casements with rectangular leaded glazing. The lower bay five has small timber-framed panes with iron-framed opening lights, and the lower windows have timber lintels. The porch has a chamfered four-centred arched lower opening with a label and a 20th-century inner door within a heavy frame. Above the arched opening is a blind lancet window with traces of a painted ‘window’ featuring diamond leading, rising into a coped gable with a gabletted finial. The south elevation mirrors the east, with three bays, continuing to Forge House. The interior was not inspected during the listing assessment.
