Description

Fairholme and Fairholme Cottage are an 18th-century house and annex situated on the south side of Higher Street in Curry Mallet. The building is constructed of coursed and squared lias stone, with a shingled roof. The roof has a hipped wing to the left and a catslide to the rear, featuring two brick ridge stacks. The two-storey, three-bay front features casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, except for a projecting stall bay which contains sash windows on the ground floor and a flat roof. There are two door openings with 20th-century porches, each having lean-to roofs, half-glazed doors and half-glazed windows. The interior retains some features of interest.
